FFKM Oil Seals

Rotary shaft sealing for aggressive media and elevated temperatures.

FFKM Oil Seals
Rotary shaft sealing for aggressive media and elevated temperatures.

FFKM oil seals (radial shaft seals) use the elastic recovery of the sealing lip against the shaft to retain lubricant and exclude process media. The FFKM elastomer element is selected where the operating environment exceeds the capability of FKM or NBR.

The dynamic sealing principle combines initial lip contact load with pressure-assisted contact: as system pressure rises, the sealing lip is pressed more firmly against the shaft, so sealing force increases with pressure.

Key characteristics

  • Dynamic sealing for rotating shafts, pumps, mixers and gearboxes
  • Suitable for chemically aggressive media where FKM is insufficient
  • Metal or elastomer outer case options to suit housing design
  • Custom spring-energized variants available on request
