Technology
Manufacturing & Quality Control
Post-cure is not an optional finishing step in perfluoroelastomer manufacturing — it is what drives off residual volatiles and develops the final crosslinked network. It is also the step most often skipped when a supplier is quoting low.
Process
Raw material control
Incoming perfluoroelastomer base and curing systems are checked against specification before compounding.
Compounding
Controlled mixing to a fixed formulation for each OM-series grade, with the batch identified throughout.
Moulding
Compression and injection moulding to drawing, with in-process dimensional checks.
Post-cure
Staged post-curing to develop the final network and reduce residual volatiles.
Inspection & packaging
Dimensional, hardness and compression-set inspection; cleanroom packing available on request.
Inspection and test methods
| Property | Standard | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Hardness | ASTM D2240 | Shore A, per grade |
| Tensile strength | ASTM D412 | ≥ 15 MPa |
| Elongation at break | ASTM D412 | ≥ 100 % |
| Compression set | ASTM D395 Method B | 16–23 % at stated conditions |
| Outgassing (TML / CVCM) | ASTM E595 | Reported per grade / project |
| Chemical compatibility | Media exposure testing | Screening chart published; full chart on request |
What we need from you
- Any acceptance threshold your own protocol requires — we will quote against your number, not ours.
- Whether parts must be individually bagged and labelled for your traceability system.
- Whether cleaning or post-cure conditioning to a named standard is required.
